So my Galant had a terrifying clang when you hit a decent bump. Found the problem. Nasty cheap old sway bar bushings.
The one that’s left on the top photo is was on the drivers side, the Source of the crash/clang, the sway bar was actually touching the subframe. No es Bueno

Indeed, putting the gap on the subfrAme side of the bushing was a stupid design.
